If Wednesday was the busiest day of the week in terms of economic data and market-moving events, Thursday isn't far behind.  The festivities kick off in the wee hours with a fairly healthy dose of European market-moving potential.  Germany, France, Italy, and the Entire Euro zone will release preliminary 3rd quarter GDP estimates as well as October's inflation reading.  Additionally, Greece remains ample headline fodder with a funding deadline looming at the end of the week and the architect of Greece's "Private Sector Involvement," IIF's Dallara, presenting his thoughts on "Adjusting Course: A Strategy For Europe and Greece To Emerge From The Crisis."

The economic data at home is a bit more straightforward, beginning with Jobless Claims and Consumer Prices at 8:30.  We still don't see the inflation reports as having budged from their recent trend of unimportance, and the Jobless Claims data could be hit or miss depending on the impact from Hurricane Sandy.  Even more impacted by the mega-storm should be the 10am Philly Fed Survey as it pertains specifically to one region of the country hit hard by the storm as opposed to the nationwide Jobless Claims tally.

Beyond the scheduled reports, there will be several Fed speakers, including Bernanke on "Housing and Financial Markets" at 1:20pm.  Earnings season continues with both Wal-Mart and Target reporting.  As with most earnings releases, the market based impact is usually seen first on the equities side of the market, but stocks and bonds have shown a decent degree of connection so far this month and any major movements in one may well have an effect on the other.
